A Casa di Amici - Palermo
Our facilities are about 30 mt one from another and they overlook Via Volturno and Via Tunisi.
Via Volturno is one of the most important streets in Palermo because it divides the city into two parts. On the left side there is the “New Palermo” with its liberty-style villas and gardens, on the right the “Old Palermo” where the most important monuments of the city are located. To visit the city you don't need to provide for transport because the most important sites are easily reachable on foot. The map of the city is very simple: the city centre is made up of 4 main streets. Vertically there are Corso Vittorio Emanuele and Via Volturno while horizontally Via Roma and Via Maqueda. Intersecting each other, the four streets form a square which is divided into 4 parts by the “Quattro Canti”.
Each square of the city centre is particular because of the main church and market present in it. In the square where our facilities are located, there is the “Capo” market and the church of “Maria Immacolata della Concezione al Capo”. Against this setting of faces and fragrances of the real Palermo (just like you see in films), people at the market-place scream out their offer for the sale of the best fresh fish of the day. So, as you walk on enchanted, you gradually get to the Cathedral, to the “Cappella Palatina”, and then you go down Corso Vittorio Emanuele which was the very first real road constructed in Palermo. It is quite pleasant to note that although the city was founded in the 8th century B.C. and carries thousands of years of memories of passed civilisations with it, Palermo still makes a beautiful setting to the present 21st century.

We look forward to having you as our guests to show you how culture and freedom, mixed with a conservative attitude that Sicilians keep in their heart, have enriched our country in the past centuries and up to these days.
